Accessibility And Equality

Ingoldisthorpe C of E VA Primary School, we are committed to ensuring equality of opportunity for all pupils, staff, parents, carers and governors irrespective of race, gender, disability, belief, sexual orientation, age or socio-economic background.

We take pride in our culture of inclusion and diversity, where all members of our community are valued and welcomed. We feel proud of each and everyones personal opinions, identity and ensure full participation in school life for all, in all aspects from learning to trips to residentials and assessments.

We tackle discrimination through the positive promotion of equality, by challenging bullying and stereotypes and by creating an environment which champions respect for all. Our PSHE and RSE curriculum enables all children to recognise and celebrate their uniqueness, differences and areas of commonality. We believe that diversity is a strength and this is actively taught within our setting. We provide a calm and friendly environment

where everyones personal choices, opinions and lives are respected and celebrated by all those who learn, teach and visit us.

  • Providing opportunities for pupils to appreciate their own culture and celebrate the diversity of other cultures, welcoming in those who wish to share their cultures with us
